Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers made music for over 40 years. The band’s celebrated career was immortalized on film with a documentary directed by Peter Bogdonavich, entitled “Running Down a Dream.” In 2014, Petty & the Heartbreakers hit the top of the album charts for the first time in their career with “Hypnotic Eye.” Sadly, Tom Petty passed away on October 2, 2017.
